Fatal Car Accidents in Louisiana
Motor vehicle accidents in Louisiana take the lives of nearly 1,000 people annually. We see many people fatally injured in accidents due to drivers who engage in acts of Negligence.
Some common crash reasons in Louisiana include:
- Speeding: When drivers go above the posted speed limits on Louisiana roadways, they place the lives of innocent drivers at risk. We see many speeding accidents occur in congested areas, on curved roadways, and during inclement weather.
- Impairment: Driving while drunk or high is extremely illegal. Drivers who are impaired often have a difficult time operating their vehicles in a responsible manner. As a result, they are more likely to shift lanes and strike other vehicles.
- Recklessness: Drivers who are reckless continue to cause harm to innocent people. We see countless accidents take place due to drivers who fail to yield, switch lanes recklessly, and even drive aggressively.
- Run Red Lights: When drivers are not cautious of other motorists sharing the roadway, they are likely to crash into them. We see many people injured as a result of drivers who pass through stop signs at intersections.
When motorists die in fatal collisions that are caused by negligence, their families may have legal options available to help them seek compensation from the responsible party. A wrongful death lawyer in Ouachita Parish can help your family get justice.
