Shreveport, LA (August 14, 2022) – Authorities in Shreveport were called to the site of a vehicle collision that sent at least one person to a local hospital with injuries. At around 10:10 p.m., on August 12, emergency crews were dispatched to an auto wreck that blocked Interstate 20.
Police reports show that a collision blocked two travel lanes of westbound Interstate 20 in the area near Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. The incident caused congestion that extended over one mile in length.
Police and firefighters closed an extensive portion of the roadway while working to clear the scene.
Paramedics were dispatched to the site of the crash to provide medical care to injured victims before transporting them to area hospitals for further care.
The crash remains under investigation at this time by area law enforcement.
