West Monroe, LA (December 1, 2022) – A man was left with significant injuries following a motor vehicle accident that took place in the West Monroe area. At around 9:40 a.m., November 21, authorities were called to the scene of an accident on North 4th Street.
According to reports, a 43-year-old man was pushing a shopping cart in the area of North 4th Street when he was struck by a train passing a railroad track.
The pedestrian suffered severe injuries as a result of the crash. He was airlifted to a hospital in the Shreveport area for emergency medical attention.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
