Rock Hill, LA (September 18, 2022) – A 23-year-old man has lost his life following a collision that took place on Friday morning in Grant Parish. At approximately 12:15 a.m., on September 16, the Louisiana State Police responded to a crash on US Highway 71.
Reports surrounding the crash show that a 2000 Ford F150 pickup truck was traveling south on US Highway 71. For unknown reasons, the vehicle became involved in a collision. The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to go off the roadway and down a ditch embankment. The vehicle then collided with several trees.
The driver of the pickup truck, 23-year-old Hunter Hayes, was ejected from the vehicle. Hayes sustained fatal injuries due to the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Louisiana State Police are investigating the crash at this time.
