West Monroe, LA (December 13, 2023) – The Louisiana State Police from Troop F confirmed that 56-year-old Gerardo Sanchez-Reyna lost his life as a result of a fatal accident that occurred on Tuesday evening in West Monroe.
Just after 7:00 p.m., a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling southbound on Louisiana Highway 617. At the same time, Sanchez-Reyna was walking in the area. For unknown reasons, the Jeep struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian was severely harmed in the crash. Emergency medical service personnel responded to care for the victim and transported him to a local hospital. The victim passed away from his injuries after arriving. At this time, the crash is being investigated.
