Monroe, LA (March 26, 2023) – The Louisiana State Police responded to the scene of an automobile accident that took place in the Monroe area on Friday and ended in injuries.
At around 5:43 p.m. on March 24, calls for assistance were received by LSP regarding an automobile collision on Interstate 20.
Reports from the police show that vehicles collided on the eastbound side of the interstate during the evening hours. The crash prompted the police to shut down a portion of the interstate near Cheniere Drew Road at mile marker 108.
Paramedics responded to treat the injured victims while at the scene. At least one person required further medical attention and was transported to a local hospital.
The crash remains under investigation by the Louisiana State Police at this time.
