Monroe, LA (March 9, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident was reported in the Monroe area on Monday morning that left at least one person with injuries. The accident was reported to officials at approximately 11:30 a.m. on March 6.
According to reports, an unknown number of vehicles collided on the right lane of travel along US Highway 165. Authorities arrived at the scene and blocked off the northbound side of the road near Renwick Street.
Firefighters and the police worked to remove the damaged vehicles and debris from the roadway. Paramedics were dispatched to care for the injured victims. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
