Caldwell Parish, LA (October 2, 2023) - On Friday, the Louisiana State Police responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident in Caldwell Parish that claimed the lives of two people.
The accident took place just before 4:00 p.m. on September 29.
LSP reports indicate that a 2008 Dodge Caravan was traveling south on US Highway 165. For unknown reasons, the vehicle was involved in a collision with a 2019 Toyota Avalon at the intersection of Louisiana Highway 126.
The driver of the Toyota, identified as 60-year-old Rhonda Clark, was severely injured. She was transported to an area hospital, where she passed away from her injuries.
The driver of the Dodge, 53-year-old Vahona Armstrong, was pronounced deceased on-site as a result of her injuries.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
