West Monroe, LA (October 30, 2023) - An automobile accident reported on the west side of Monroe claims one person’s life.
At around 4:40 p.m. on October 26, police officers with the West Monroe Police Department responded to a crash that occurred on Plum Street.
According to officials, a train was traveling through the area when it struck the pedestrian for unknown reasons.
The pedestrian, who has not been publicly identified, was fatally hurt in the crash and pronounced dead on site.
The accident is being investigated by the West Monroe Police Department at this time.
