Monroe, LA (September 27, 2023) – A golf cart crash took place near Grambling State University that resulted in injuries.
On September 23, authorities were dispatched to the scene of an accident that occurred near the Eddie Robinson stadium. According to reports, at least one individual was operating a golf cart near the rear of the stadium when the vehicle collided with a support.
The impact of the crash caused the golf cart to flip over and strike a band member before landing on top of a second victim.
Two people were injured as a result of the crash. Both of the victims were transported by ambulance to Northern Louisiana Medical Center, where they underwent further care. The driver of the golf cart refused treatment at the scene.
At this time, the crash is being investigated.
