Monroe, LA (April 29, 2024) – The police and firefighters were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Monroe and ended in injuries. The collision occurred at around 2:20 p.m. on April 26.
According to law enforcement reports, a vehicle collision blocked multiple lanes on Interstate 20 W. The incident caused disruptions in the area near Coleman Avenue, which extended back to US Highway 165. Police and firefighters remained at the scene for a significant amount of time while working to remove the involved vehicles. Medics tended to the injured victims briefly at the scene before transporting them to area hospitals. The incident is under investigation.
