Monroe, LA (August 8, 2024) – Emergency crews were notified that they were needed at the scene of a motor vehicle accident in which at least one person was hurt. The collision was reported at around 8:30 p.m. on August 6.
Reports from authorities indicate that the right lane of travel was blocked on the eastbound side of Interstate 20. The Louisiana State Police and firefighters responded to the scene and closed off the roadway near mile marker 183. Delays were reported in the area, which extended approximately two miles from the scene. Emergency medical services responded to care for injured victims before transporting them to local hospitals.
