West Monroe, LA (June 30, 2024) – Authorities were requested at the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in West Monroe and claimed one man’s life. The collision was reported at around 10:00 a.m. on June 27.
Official reports show that a 2023 Buick Enclave was traveling southbound on Louisiana Highway 34. At the same time, a 2016 Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling on the same roadway in the northbound direction. For unknown reasons, the two vehicles collided. One person involved in the accident, identified as 64-year-old David Perry, was fatally injured. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported. At this time, officers with the Louisiana State Police are investigating the crash.
