Monroe, LA (March 15, 2024) – A motorcyclist lost their life as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Tuesday evening in Monroe. The incident was reported to law enforcement on March 12, just before 7:00 p.m.
According to reports provided by the Louisiana State Police, 44-year-old Christopher Pollard was riding a motorcycle north on US Highway 165 during the evening hours. As the vehicle proceeded forward, a Kenworth semi-truck turned left in front of the vehicle, causing both of them to collide. The motorcyclist incurred fatal injuries as a result of the accident. Despite medical efforts, Pollard was pronounced deceased while at the scene. At this time, the incident is being investigated. No other injuries were reported as a result of this automobile accident.
