Monroe, LA – Fatal Truck Wreck on Hwy 1268 Takes One Life

Monroe, LA (November 3, 2024) — Louisiana State Police reported that a two-vehicle accident on Thursday, October 31, led to the death of an Oak Grove resident. The victim was identified the victim as 69-year-old Jimmy Densmore.

According to reports, Densmore was driving a Ford F-350 pickup truck on Louisiana Highway 1268. As he proceeded through the area near US Highway 165, his vehicle collided with a Freightliner box truck. Densmore was severely injured in the accident. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Freightliner sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The cause of the accident remains under investigation by Louisiana State Police.
