Start, LA (October 25, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Start area claimed one person’s life. The accident occurred just before 9:00 a.m. on October 22.
According to reports from the Louisiana State Police, Troop F, a 35-year-old man, identified as Jared Osbon, was walking on Interstate 20 during the morning hours. For unknown reasons, he was struck by a vehicle on the eastbound side of the road near Louisiana Highway 133. The involved vehicles fled the scene of the crash without stopping. Osbon was severely injured as a result of the accident and pronounced deceased at the scene. The state police are currently investigating the accident.
